About Shelly – aka RandomShelly:
My name is Shelly. I am a wife and mother. I am a computer programmer. I’m all about family and friends… I have great ones. I’m opinionated… A smartass… A snarky, honest, curious, loyal enigma of a woman with a touch of OCD. I’m all about symmetry, matching and organization. Nothing wrong with that.
Since I don’t have a character limit here… I’ll add a little more:
Ask me anything, but you are forewarned – don’t ask me a question you don’t want to know the answer to.
I originally started online using RandomShelly as a Twitter name, writing my blog and having fun. It has been fun. I’ve met great people, had great conversations and learned lots of things…
I love making jewelry for me and thought I wanted to do that as a business, but alas, business and I don’t mesh. At. All.
I’m a writer.
I love to write, I love to read. I love stories. I DREAM stories.
I sure wish I could dream romance stories, but NO… Seems my imagination sends me murder, mystery, espionage, mayhem type stories… I wake up screaming a lot. (no, you don’t need to diagnose me or tell me why… thanks!)
However, to pay my mortgage, I work as a computer programmer, I have my B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science… so what does that mean? Nothing.
I am a good programmer, an excellent debugger, a good teacher and enthusiastic geekish girly girl… But while you can take the girl out of the IT department… it is a little harder to take the tech loving awe out of the girl. Go figure.
In other news, My Love Language is a mix of “Physical Touch, Words of Affirmation and Quality Time”
For brevity – I will share a few things I’ve learned…
I love:
- Being a mother (100+ more loves on that topic)
- Listening to and reading stories
- Interacting with people (not in crowds – I AM an introvert y’all)
- Being challenged
- Good Sex
- Making people smile
- Knowing what to say
- Feeling good about my work
- Puzzles
I don’t like:
- Being Doubtful
- Feeling Forced
- Crying in front of others
- Talking about my emotions
- Judgmental people
- People who belittle others
- People who act superior
